Description
COURSE DESCRIPTION & OVERALL GOAL
This conference will address current and emerging issues in TB, including local prevention and control efforts in West Virginia. The topics will cover TB in immunosuppressed persons, epidemiologic trends, the role of laboratories, differential diagnosis of TB disease, TB and diabetes, and new pediatric recommendations. The format will include lectures, case studies, and interactive discussion. The conference will also promote networking, resource sharing, and collaborations with partnering agencies.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
This conference is open to physicians, nurses, epidemiologists, public health field staff, infection control practitioners, and healthcare professionals who are involved in the diagnosis and management of patients with TB infection or disease.
